I wanted a no frills, just get the job done refrigerator, and I am so happy with the GE Artistry fridge. It has that vintage vibe that I love, and does an excellent job keeping my food fresh. I especially like the freezer portion on the bottom, and all the storage space on the inside of the door.
This is a really good looking refrigerator. It seems to be a good size for my needs. It runs a little louder then I would like but it's not bad enough to worry about. The paint was easily dinged during instillation, so handle with care. There are two little chrome parts for the side of the handles that just stick on like stickers. It's a little worrisome but only time will tell if they stay on. So far so good. I am pretty thrilled with it just because of how pretty it looks.
I wanted a retro look and this Series gives me that in a US product. Especially like that the refrigerator section is waist high and above, where you are in and out most often; and you only have to "reach down" for freezer items.
I bought this unit about 6 months ago. I bought an older house and thought the retro look would work perfectly. The unit was on back order for the hardware store for months and they finally gave me the floor model. I notice now that they are no longer carrying this series. The refrigerator space is great and holds a lot. I can't see a way to get the bottom tray out to clean thoroughly. I feel like bins under the bottom tray are going to break soon. Freezer basket is difficult to pull out, and door needs to be open all the way to even attempt it. Not very much freezer space. When the freezer door is open all the way, it is dented and scratched by a bracket in between the doors.
We just bought this fridge and love it. The retro look is so fun, but the amount of interior space was a welcome surprise. The bottom freezer is how every fridge should be!

My wife found a website with a pic of an 1960's style fridge. We live in my Grandfathers house, from the 1940's - so the kitchen is VERY retro looking. I was looking at other brands, but wanted to keep the retro feel. Our space is very small and this fits the space perfectly. (She actually jumped up and down, she was so excited) I am a tall man and wanted to have the fridge on the top, so I don't have to take a knee to look in. Happy Wife happy Life
