We bought this to replace a side by side unit that was still working well but we were tired of having limited narrow space. This has served our needs nicely with adjustable shelves, more vision in the refrigerator portion and our less-used freezer space on the bottom. Initially had some trouble with freezing vegetables in the bottom drawer. Ideally would like more adjustments in the refrigerator door shelves. There were comments about noise but we have not been bothered with that. Installed an ice maker without any trouble. Very satisfactory for our needs.
I bought this refrigerator hoping it would look good in the kitchen of my 1909 bungalow and it looks great!. The GE emblem looks nostalgic and the shape of the refrigerator again has the look of a refrigerator from the 50's. Beyond that it is quiet and keeps our food cool.
purchase this refrigerator love the simple but high end look . Had GE product and it last me over 15 years time for new one love the freezer at the bottom. Purchase in November 2015 so far so good..
This refrigerator allows you to switch the side that it opens from - which is one of the reasons we bought it - and the smaller size (perfect for a small family) - and the more retro shape. The doors now open from the right to left - and first it grinds, so there is a small amount of metal dust accumulating on the bottom freezer door and when you open one - door the other one pops out a bit AND DOES NOT RETURN TO A CLOSED POSITION unless you close it -- same thing happens when you close the Fridge door - the Freezer door opens a bit - so you must always be sure both are firmly pushed tightly closed.
Roomier than what is looks. Provides a lot of space for my family. We were looking for something different and retro after kitchen remodel. Looks great!
Pretty nice refrigerator overall. We needed a shorter one to fit the space we had available, and this worked well. I really like the freezer on bottom, but wish this one had the full pull out drawer instead of a swinging door. Also, the crisper bins for fruits and veggies don't pull out easily which can be a little frustrating, but overall it's a nice fridge.
