We are very happy with the overall quality of this flat screen. The video quality is excellent and the settings are easy to use. The sound is good. Options for interfacing with other equipment are impressive (speakers, video players, computer, etc).
I would recommend this to a friend!

It has worked well for us. This is our 2nd flat screen HD TV. We've had no problems with it.
Pros: very sharp picture and true colors

This product was at the right price for the picture quality I was looking for. NEED ANOTHER FIRMWARE UPGRADE TO FIX PROBLEMS NOTED IN CONS
Pros: good picture quality for price
Cons: blacks and dark colors aren't very distinguisable, person's faces appear flushed at times, volume animation is not helpful

Bought this set for the bedroom for viewing TV. Excellent picture and color after a few minor adjustments to my personal preferences. Set up was very easy.
Pros: excellent performance for the price.
Cons: very weak remote control.

I see a lot of reviews from 2012... I bought this TV in 2010. It's been a really good 9 years. This TV went to college with me. Traveled around. Moved. It has always performed well, with a phenomenal picture.
This TV has seen the use of PS2, PS4, Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, Switch...
I've used this TV almost every single day for minimum 3 hours a day. I've seen so many other friends and family replace their TVs multiple times by now. I will continue using this TV until it finally dies one day.
As of now, It's running as perfectly as the day I bought it. Philips makes a phenomenal product.
Pros: long lasting (had mine 9 years), great picture, bright, up to 240hz
Cons: consumes 200 watts compared to tvs now.
I would recommend this to a friend!
