Great Tv

I got it on Black fri with Free shipping. I love the 240Hz it makes the picture perfect. I had to get a Philips blueray player to pair it up with this tv and all i can say is WOW. Am even looking at upgrading as soon as i can to a Philips 55 inch .
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great T.V. at a great price

This was my first hd t.v. and it has been great. My family has had hd tv's but none have compared to this set. Its sound quality is great and the picture is awesome. I have not had any issues with this t.v.
Pros: great picture quality, great sound
Cons: navigating some menus confusing

Excellant picture clarity

I chose this TV for it's excellent picture quality and for the size. It is a vast improvement over the old 36" CRT TV it replaced. It looks pretty much like most other flat screen TVs which is not a complaint. It has plenty of input choices and I can't imagine needing any more. It seems to be very reliable, we've never had any trouble with it. One small complaint is with the on screen volume indicator. It's a wedge that fills in as the volume gets higher. We find this to be a very poor style of indicator. A slider or numeric scale would be a much better indicator. Also the menu system seems a bit complicated but maybe that has to do with not having to access it very often. After the initial setup there isn't much reason to return to it. Overall we have been very pleased with this TV.
Pros: sharp clear picture, good audio without home theater system
Cons: poor on-screen volume indicator

this 40 inch philips has some great features. clean lines, good sound, great hd quality. price is affordable.
Pros: sound is amazing hd is fabulous
Cons: runs very hot some features do not upgrade as adv

I got this tv because of the price and the quality. The 240 hz tv are not widely available and too see this show up at the low price i got it....is amazing.
The picture quality is very impressive, the sound is also. Gaming.......I will just say outstanding and fast. The Gaming and tv shows never miss a beat with the tv being able to keep up with all the super fast stuff with ease.
I have a friend who has a 46 of another brand and he likes this more then his tv, his kids love the gaming also so he is looking to get one.
I am not sure how many people use HDMI cables with the tv but thats all i do use (It makes a huge difference in picture, sound and gaming). I am using HDMI 1440 cables and i can guarantee if you use these cables, you will be impressed.
I am playing battlefield 3 and the graphics are impressive and dont miss a beat and the sound if great.

I cannot mention enough......use the HDMI 1440 cables with this tv. The HDMI are digital cables which gives you the best signal from the cable box and also from an xbox.
The blue,green and yellow cables are only analog signal and does not give you the picture and sound the tv can produce.

The tv is a digital TV, use the HDMI digital cables with it.
I use all HDMI 1440 cables for my cable box, my Xbox and my Laptop to connect to my TV and so far everybody that has seen it, is getting one of these tv's because they are so impressed with it. Two friends of mine sell tv's also and they are buying it.

It's so simple!

After reading a number of reviews for other televisions that were similar in screen size and features I determined this would probably work best for me. I wasn't wrong. Write out of the box it was simple; simple to set up, simple to personalize, simple to start watching. Reviews for other televisions spoke of having to adjust sound settings, color settings, picture aspects, etc which sounded too complicated. Not so here, I would highly recommend this product for anyone who likes to just take their TV out of the box and start watching.
