Disappointing

The HP Officejet 7500A was not what I wanted.
I needed a double sided printer and requested one from the supplier, who sold me this in error. (They have, rather sweetly, apologised and happily replaced it with a more suitable machine)
I had no need of the A3 printing facility and was thus reluctant to give this noisy, clattering machine the enormous amount of office space it took up.
Yes, it prints.
But there are better machines on the market which fill my requirements.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

HP Officejet 7500A Printer

Took a while to set up as it did not like the ethernet cable being plugged into the laptop despite being a wireless connection. Rather noisy printing and warming up but fast printing. Useful to be able to buy extra large replacement inks. Cannot understand why the 'Scan to Printer' connection keeps failing and has to be 'reactivated' EVERY time it is used to find the computer again - rather frustrating. Have set up the fax link but not used it at present so cannot comment on this. Would be useful if the printer could indicate that the paper is getting low rather than getting stuck mid printing when it runs out. Overall a very clever printer, the above being niggly points.

Good product at a good price.BUT it would help if the instruction manual was in English (not Greek and Hebrew as I received). It would also help if you would label the fax cables clearly and provide clearer instructions.Your telephone help was pretty useless and I eventually muddled through on my own.
Finally it would be good if you could manually feed in the odd A3 page without having to empty the cartridge of A4 and then replace with A3.

This product is always reliable, prints are excellent quality, even when printing pictures. The printer is able to print on photopaper with ease and without becoming jammed. No problems over all. Its particularly useful to have a touch screen panel that you can view the ink levels on! All round excellent purchase

The printer is good with varied settings for A 3 & 4.
On reflection if you change from one size to the other a lot it would be good to get one with a second tray delivery. The A4 copying is good, the A3 copying can be done but then saves as a picture / scan format. Scanning A4 is good so is picture production. Faxing works well and is good to get all in one pakage. The wireless connection is very helpfull and enabes several people to use the printer. So on a roundup this is a good purches.

For a A3 printer/copier/scanner this is a stylish and compact machine. It looks nice and doesn't take up too much room in my home office. It makes a little noise when it is gearing itself up for a job but it really isn't much. I haven't used the fax function at all and probably won't but everything else this machine does produces excellent quality. It was easy to set up. However I did go online to get information from the online manual as the information that came in the box was verey limited. All in all I think it is fantastic.

Recommended but with issues!!

The 7500A is fantastic for the small business with the all-in-one facilities making my life easier as I can e-mail and fax statements/remittances, etc, direct from my computer, saving time and paper.
This is my second 7500A - the first one only lasted two months. This one has issues with the photocopies already (in that it doesn't work) and when being used on a wireless connection can decide not to print and instead wastes a lot of paper - printing rubbish!! This is most annoying when you have headed or pre-printed paper in it!!
If everything worked as it should this would be a fantastic bit of kit. The quality of the print is great and as I double side print some booklets and produce A3 calendars I can say that if all is working well, it ticks all the boxes. Unfortunately, I can't trust the network connection, so I always have to save my work to a flash drive and print from the computer that is plugged into the printer.
HP Support were hugely helpful with the problems and everything so far has been resolved quickly and efficiently - shame they don't seem to have the quality in their products any more.
