What a disappointment!

My printer is now over a year old, and it keeps on stalling when I try to print 20 or 30 copies of A4, or it stops printing saying there is a paper jam. The only way to get it to resume printing is to turn it off by the plug, and then turn it on again.
I googled the printer / error message and it seems like this is a known problem.
It also comes up with a message saying it cannot locate my PC via the USB, when I want to save a scan on my PC, yet it receives all of the printing commands via the same port..
I emailed HP last week for support, after using their online printer tool which did not work. I received an email back saying the only free support was online or via their forum. Otherwise I needed to pay for support.
Not good enough HP! I have a huge printer here that is simply not up to the job. It is a good thing I have an ancient laser here that at least can print off the A4's I need.

Printer very versatile & prints high quality out put. Scanner very useful, not using the fax facility. Help menu good when get the hang of using it. Found the user manual difficult to understand - had problems attaching to phone line without printer phone ringing when house phone rang - must have done somewthing wrong.
Still haven't managed to get e-print to work from PC even though PC says document sent to printer.

A3 wonderful

This is a good quality product.
I like having the colour printing ink coming in 3 separate cartridges.
The ability to print at A3 is very convenient.
I have not yet tried to 'stitch' two A4's together (the machine cannot scan A3 in one go).

this product does what it is supposed to do at a reasonable cost had a few teething issues whilst getting to know it but each time i was able to just restore its defaults and start again it is quite robust and seems to be able to handle anything you throw at it and the back up from HP is dependable the radio aspect is good and the unit is feature rich A3 is a god send and the Ink capacity is quite good

Needed an A3 printer
on January 20, 2012

My trusty OfficeJet G85 suffered from an overflowing 'service tank'. Unfortunately no instructions in user guide as to how to perform what should have been a fairly simple operation - poor design there. So decided I needed a replacement but that could also do Print A3.
It does all I need but it is NOISY and seems to take rather too long when it is setting itself up to print. Sometimes 2 or 3 sheets of paper get picked up at the same time which is annoying.

The Officejet 7500A produces excellent quality print's in both A4 and A3, and can produce the print's quickly. The issues I have had with it are minor and temporary however seem to happen quite regularly, things such as the print cradle locking in the far right of the printer, or the scanner deciding that all copies are A5 regardless of the settings you change. Also if you turn the printer off it will not turn back on until it has been unplugged from the power for at least 10 minutes.
