Worst printer I have ever owned

I have purchased only HP printers for the last 25 years. After owning this printer and the ensuing poor service I received from HP, I will never again buy their products. This printer is plagued with problems and is poorly manufactured and as a result, I have placed it in the rubbish bin after 1 year and one week after purchase. I have replaced it with a unit from a different manufacturer and now extremely happy. Oh, and I got a 3 year warranty for free.

HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format e-All-in-One Print

I have always gone for HP printers as I have found them the most reliable and the first time I had any problem setting up the machines in the past they have also been there to help. As for the HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format e-All-in-One Printer which is wireless it is the best yet. I am able to use it when I am in other parts of the house with my laptop and my I pad, I am yet to try and connect it to my phone as it is an android I am not sure if it will work.
I will certainly continue using HP products as I think they are the best.

I purchased this printer for printing drawings for job quotations from PDF on A3 size paper. this it carries out perfectly. The problems I have found with this are.
EVERY time I want to print on A3 I have to go into settings and change from A4 to A3 EVERY single time. It keeps reverting back to A4. Why can it not be set to A3 Default???
I printed photographs on A4 gloss paper. The colour is excellent and very fast; the quality looks really good for a three colours and black machine. But when I looked closer there are fine lines down each photograph making it useless as a photo printer. I checked online and it seems to be a common problem.
it’s also rather noisy when it starts up and goes through pre printing clunks and rattles i keep thinking something is about to pop out of the top but I can live with this. So it’s great for printing A3 Documents, and not for photos (which is a pity) ink seems to last well and a reasonable price. A great printer for what it does well, looks good and takes up very little space for an A3 machine.
I'm still using my HP Photosmart C6180 which is a superb printer especially for large photos, which come out crystal clear. You would need a microscope to see the ink dots on this machine.

Dissappointed

I am a HP fan, and have always used HP printers I think they are the best, having worked with other printers owned by friends and associates. However I am dissapointed with this one, it takes so long to start up, and often refuses to shake hands with my HP TouchSmart 600PC. I have to switch off and restart quite often. When printing it is first class, but it is so tempremental. I thought that by buying a PC and Printer of the same make (HP) that there would be no problems. The TouchSmart 600pc is fine, but I'm afraid I will be looking to purchase another printer some time in the future. However, I am still a big HP fan.

Poor Wireless Connection

I have not been very happy with the wireless connection to my 7500A as I have gone through the process of setting it up and it still has to be switched off the on for it to be reconised, which is a pain. My other 6500 wireless has not played up like this one.

Great print quality and good print rate too. The scanner is a bit of a con if you're going to do a lot of A3 scanning as it won't take a full sheet. Can get through colour ink cartridges quite quickly. A4 photocopy function is good, scanner is good at A4, borderless printing is an absolute lifesaver! Wireless can need to be reset a bit more frequently than I'd like, but its a quick process to do so. Ink cartridge change is very easy The software at first isn't very clear, but once you get your head round it, you can do pretty much whatever you want.
I would recommend this printer for a student or a very small business, but for anything large scale it would run the ink out too fast.
