Love this Blu-ray player

Remote works great with my Samsung TV.
Web-Connected Samsung Apps limit your web experience.
Would like to search the whole internet for things but can't.
You are limited buy the Apps.

Very Good Player

Iam not a big 3D fan but I purchased this product because of its 7.1 audio out feature. But I was disappointed with the bass output. Infact, the 5.1 digital out is fantastic compared to the 7.1 out. Anyway, I wanted a nice player to play Bluray discs so I ended up with this one. Guess what, I started using the Apps so much that I subscribed to Netflix and Hulu Plus. After 5 months and 4 to 5 different firmware updates, I now only use this player for the Apps only. I would have have probably watched a couple of Bluray titles and the HD quality is simply awesome!!! Hands Down!!!! But Iam now a big fan of the Apps. With a FiOS 15Mbps internet connection, I now stream HDX Vudu titles and it is just stunning quality!!! I love this product and Samsung should seriously think about building the App market as this will be the next killer market in online streaming!!!
Pros: Durable, Lightweight
Cons: software is non-intuitive

The disk player will not connect to my wireless router (LINKSYS WRT54GS) in any mode (secure/unsecure) it will however work when I run a CAT V to the disk player. Other than that the unit works great....could use some help!!
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations

WiFi connection less than stellar

The wireless network connector on the BDC6900 works but only if I broadcast my SSID on the wireless router. When I have the router set to not broadcast the SSID the WiFi connection does not connect even when I manually set up the router SSID and passphrase. Poor design on Samsungs part and hopefully they will fix this issue real soon. Saw many others have the same problem with the WiFi connection on this player.

Love this Blue Ray player. Fast load, easy to use, make all my regular DVD looks even better than before. I've noticed thing that I hadn't seen from my other DVD player. Then again everything looks even better than before on my 55" 3D LED HD Samsung TV. Glad I waited to get the complete package.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color
Cons: power too sensitive or should have been on the, front panel turn on while moving the player.
I would recommend this to a friend!
