AS A HOME THEATER INSTALLER I'VE USED OTHER 3D BLURAY PLAYERS AND THE SAMSUNG ONE'S ALWAYS BLOW THE COMPETITION OUT OF THE WATER. HANDS DOWN THE EASIEST TO SETUP AND THE APPS ON IT ARE BETTER THAN WHAT ANYONE ELSE ON THE MARKET IS OFFERING. SUPERIOR, CLEAR VIDEO AND OUTSTANDING AUDIO PLAYBACK. PHENONMINAL UPCONVERSION TOO!
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

I just bought this Blue Ray player and I have been using it for 3 days now. I'm happy to be able to play my movies that are on my hard drives. I have NKV, Video TS etc. and so far it played everything. What I like the must is that I can download and watch movies in HD with digital sound (excellent). I sure glad that I decided to get this one. The discs load quickly, it can read my 1GB hard drives right away (no waiting). Although I don’t have a 3D TV the picture is fantastic. Since I just got a new HD TV it will be a while before I can get a 3D TV, however, when the time comes, I’m ready.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: expensive
I would recommend this to a friend!

3D blu ray

just got my 3d TV,Blu Ray and Glasses. after spending few hours setting up the system. I can't wait to try it out. Unfortunately, my 3d blu ray cannot read any 3d /blu ray/ regular dvd movie. I tried to reset the blu ray and no such luck. I'm a little frustrated after spend a lot of money purchased the 3d TV, blu ray and glasses:-(. Now i have to call samsung. hopefully, the will have a solution.

graphics and sound are amazing, menu is diverse and access to online is great but the one annoying aspect is the noise it makes when the power is on, sounds like a computer hard drive spinning and reading/writing non stop, weather you are playing a disc or not, it always catches your attention on low volumes.
Cons: noisy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is better than I expected!!

I was looking for a regular blu-ray player. The salesman showed me this unit. I told him that I had no plans to buy a 3d tv so I wouldn't need a 3d blu-ray player. He made me a very good deal and said if I wasn't satisfied, to bring it back for a full refund. Well after a week and using it everyday, I still have it.
It was very easy to setup. Load times are very quick, way faster than my HD DVD Player. Picture quality is great on regular dvd. Looks hi-def. Sound is excellent using fiber optic to my av rcv. All the apps work well. No problem with streaming except buffering on VUDU which was solved by stepping down from HD to SD. Picture still looked great. This is a very welcomed addition to my home theater.

I also have a Samsung BDP-1500 BluRay and have to say the 6900 is great. All the functions which includes wireless internet connection are really nice. The remote is far better than the one for the 1500. The buttons are easier to use in a dark room while watching a movie etc. I am so impressed I just ordered a second one!!!

can't wait for more blu ray movies to come out-i have a big 73" Mitsubishi 3d TV and the picture is great and the 3d images are realy BIG
