Plays nicely with my Smasung UN46C8000 3D LED

Sales people, work colleagues, internet reviewer comments about buying the same product line such as Samsung LED and Blu Ray play effortlessly right out of the box are right. I was amazed how quickly the Samsung UN46C800 set up with the Samsung BDC6900 Blu Ray 3D player. Thank You Samsung engineers for making it happen. Sure there are critics out there with their own experiences but I for one am one of the lucky ones.
Pros: Realistic color, Lightweight, easy set up, fast set up
Cons: did not come with the 3d glasses

Wish there was a screen saver feature...

I love this DVD player for a few reasons. 1, The design is great. I mean, no visible buttons! How cool is that? 2, And the blue glow for the disk. Very sharp! 3, Add that to having one of the fastest loading times!, and I love it all. Except for... well at least at the moment, I cant seem to find a screen saver for the times i dose off and the DVD menu just sits there and burns its image on my new 3D plasma tv. Yeah, I know, don't fall asleep watching a movie. But, i feel there should be a setting so that if the menu or any other screen is left there for anymore than 15 min. or so, a screen saver should come on. Maybe they already have that feature now and I just haven't come across it yet.
Pros: Bright display, button free, slim design
Cons: need screen saver to turn on during menu pauses

The updates are a really nice thing that I hope Samsung keeps up with. I purchased this Blu-ray player back in March and I'd hate to have it go obsolete when it can easily be updated (which is currently being done).
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, wifi, great 3d for 3d movies
Cons: a little slow sometimes

Does a much better job than my last Blu Ray, excellent picture quality, easy network set up, outstanding on screen user interface.

I purchased this unit in Late October, it stopped working in middle November, No Video Output , I was disappointed it was not ready for windows 7 and it does not work with my HP home server. Other than those issues it has an excellent look to it. When it worked it had excellent sound and video quality.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, excellent dvd quality
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overall the player works very well and has nice features. Only flaw I have found, it did not let me know there was a software update even though I had it set for auto notification. Then when I did update, had to try it 4 times before it would do it, but in the end the update happened and all is well
