Excellent. No problems yet. Actually came with the T.V in a bundle package.

Pretty good DVD, if it didn't shut off itself

Great DVD, light and easy to operate. Great software with plenty of features.
Out of the box if would shutdown itself while watching a DVD. I though it may have been the high def cable, maybe the series 8000 TV telling the DVD to shut off.
Started using it again and it shutoff while watching Netflix. So the problem is still there, even with the latest firmware on the TV and the DVD.
Probably still a buy, assuming Samsung has a fix available for the shutdown issue.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight

Needs more frequent firmware updates

It works great and once connected to the internet, it can network with your system and also play netflix, etc. It also "upstreams" 2d movies into 3d (they're not as good as pure 3d movies, but it's a pretty nice effect). It also plays 3d, regular blu ray and dvd movies (just wish it also played HD-DVD so I could play all of my movies). The one downside I find (which other players don't seem to have a problem with) is that it requires firmware updates in order to watch the newest movies. But as someone who is consistently buying new movies, it is really really really annoying to buy a new blu ray (3d or regular) and not be able to play it because there has not yet been a firmware update (confirmed this was the reason with samsung customer service). If they could update their firmware more frequently so that I'm not waiting months at a time to watch movies I've watched, I would be much happier with this player and with Samsung.
Pros: Durable, Lightweight
Cons: needs more frequent firmware updates

The blueray came with my purchase of the Samsung PN50C8000 50" 3D 1080P High Definition Plasma tv. Only one disc can be load at any given time. Oh well, I can live with that. Great picture!
Pros: Realistic color
Cons: single disc capacity

Design is nice and compact. has plenty of features but maybe there is more , would like to see a brushed aluminum or stainless steel to accent me TV's bezel.

Love this device. Very user friendly and functionality rich. Only wish for a firmware upgrade to "SmartTV" internet browser capability. Any plans in the future for such an upgrade?
