pocket call nightmare!

It's heavy .. It's tough .. there's a lot to like as far as that goes .. but .. my biggest complaint is the location and sensitivity of the power button .. You can't carry it in your pocket .. every time I do .. it turns on and is doing something .. frustrating! .. I didn't want a giant phone that I couldn't comfortably carry in my pocket .. this one is the right size and tough so I wouldn't need to make it bigger by adding a case .. yet I still can't carry it in my pocket .. don't like it at all

I bought this phone wanting something that would be able to withstand everything I put phones through and I think I found it. This phone is user friendly and isn't hard to get used to. It seems fast and the battery life is great. My last phone would charge all night and I would have to recharge by night. This one I went 3 days before I had to charge. I would recommend this phone to anyone and everyone.

I have had this for several weeks, got it right after they came out, and I just don't like it.. I mean, you pay a pretty chunk of your money for one of these and they have so much garbage on them that the battery doesn't last as long as it could and you cannot get rid of the stuff and after all that you cannot replace the battery in either, so you bought a throwaway phone if the battery dies. If I get someones voice mail and do not want to leave a message, I cannot end the call because the screen won't light up until the other end hangs up. Actually I pretty much cannot end any call unless I shake it good and hard so the screen will light up and show me where to touch the screen and by then the voice mail has answered which sometimes does not help as it just won't end the call.. There may be a way to make it work differently but the little booklet you get with it has page after page of does and don'ts of using it, but not one sentence of how to make it do what you want it to do, how to operate it.. I don't use it a lot so the battery lasts 2 or 3 days usually, went 4 days one time. I'm sure I could double that if I could get rid of the garbage that came preinstalled or at least shut it off completely. But that is your typical phone you get these days I guess. It does seem to be a fairly tough phone though, I haven't dropped it but I haven't broken it by holding on to it yet either. The size is good too, I like that part. When I want to send a text, it is weird because after you get the digital keyboard to come up so you can start, a sign pops up saying something I don't remember, but it covers the bottom half of the keyboard so you cannot text until it goes away after several seconds.. It is a much better phone than the moto I tried just before this one by several times, but the S5 Active was by far easier to operate than this one, just too big is all. At least it would do what you wanted it to do when you wanted it to do it.

useless "hot key" and horrible sound.

I got this as my first smart phone. I was very disappointed. There are too many buttons to navigate to get to where you want to be, as opposed to other phones I've tried and the programmable hot-key is worthless because every time you pick the phone you accidentally activate it. It's very frustrating. The sound may be loud but the quality of the sound is horrible. Also had to use speaker phone all the time because the ear-piece microphone is hidden behind a waterseal tab and sounds like your conversation is being held through a kazoo. When it gets wet the speakers sound horrible too and water droplets landing on the screen activate apps by contact. The built in speaker phone key is redundant and worthless too. It's not necessary to incorporate this key into the physical design when you can activate speaker phone from the screen. Cool phone in concept but bad in practice.

Stands up to drops, dog shakes, boat splashes and my daily abuse. A work horse...not a super computer.
