Accidentally dropped four feet to a wood floor, screen cracked. How is that rugged.

Rugged, but questionable ergonomics

I've had the Duraforce for 1.5 years now. It is indeed very rugged. I've dropped it many times, I get it wet all the time, and it shows no sign of damage. It is far, FAR more rugged than the Samsung Galaxy Rugby Pro I had previously, which suffered a broken screen less than a month after I bought it and started to see many other failures shortly thereafter. If you're looking for a reliable, rugged phone the Duraforce is definitely it.
That said, the phone is not perfect. Although the overall size is good for slipping into pockets, the power button is in a horrible location on the top of the shell. It's very easy to accidentally press this button while slipping it into a pocket, where it then proceeds to pocket dial people and do other things. I have a passcode on my lock screen, but the "Emergency Call" feature is not locked and my Duraforce has pocket dialed 9-1-1 *twice* in recent months. Not good.
The curved top and power button location also make one-handed use a little awkward. This causes me to fumble and drop the phone more often. Good thing it's rugged.
Finally, the camera is pretty bad. Fortunately I have a real camera, but if you need a phone with a good built-in camera this is not a good choice.
The Duraforce does have some good features. The display is bright and can be used with work or motorcycle gloves. The speakers are very loud and clear, even after 1.5 years of daily blaring music or the morning news while I'm in the shower. And like I said, it seems to be very reliable and rugged. I'm 1.5 years in and not one single thing has broken or failed. My last Samsung "rugged" phone was paperweight after this amount of time.

Watched this phone get slammed into the ground twice then ran over with a Mercedes clk.. Barely a scratch on it works like nothing happened. Poor battery life is my major complaint. I wish it was smaller but it basically has a case built into the phone.

I have had this phone for some time now and it has a lot of pros and cons but to get started all I can say is it does what people originally bought it for .....durability. pros: -durable!! -loud -bright -can use with gloves Cons: -Slow/freezes - camera -brightness -loud -extra apps -can not remove battery
now I am a 19 year old teenage girl and like normal I do use this phone a lot for social media, apps, and pictures but I do labor work a lot . Now I bought this phone because before I could go with out not damaging my phone in less than a year. so I do give it much credit for that but I would recommend this phone for older working people who don't use there phone as constantly as I do. I could go on forever but I pretty much explained the big parts.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am very unhappy with this phone. It has problems. The sound has stopped working. It cuts off when it wants and has charging issues. I am even more upset that this phone is not even paid for yet and it has so many problems.
