Blue light disaster

Makes good coffee however the blue light is a disaster. Blue lights are horrible for dark rooms, blinding as many know any color is better than blue, i will return this for that reason.
We've had a cuisinart coffee maker for years, it had a small red and green light which was perfect. This thing light up the room like a billboard blinding anyone walking into a dark room.

Makes excellent coffee, noticeably better than our old Mr. Coffee. However, it was supposed to beep when done, but it doesn't work. Also, it has a charcoal filter for the water that doesn't stay in place unless you hold it down with one finger while slamming the lid to prevent it from floating up. Maybe Cuisinart would warranty it but those deals are always a lot of hassle so I haven't tried.

For 13 years we have purchased this coffee maker 3 time. The first one lasted 5 years. Now we have 2 that work great! They are programable & you can set the temperature of the coffee. We won't change! We like it hot.
