The quality of this brand has gone down. After 18 months of daily, use the heat plate has rusted. While the coffee is brewing, the heat from the steam causes the top to move up and down - very noisy. Very disappointed, my previous Cuisinart coffee maker lasted 17 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great coffeemaker. Reasonably priced, and makes an excellent cup of coffee. Easy to use and is very stylish. This was bought to replace a Cuisinart coffee maker

The machine works very well. I've tried several of the recipes in the book and all created very good loaves of bread. My favorite recipe is the one for Challah bread. Excellent bread.

Works fine but do not like the feature of automatically turning off the bottom warming plate after a short period. Also, from past experience the glass carafe is very fragile.

I have spent years buying coffee at McDonald's, no matter what I did I couldn't make a drinkable cup of coffee. This machine was once again I felt would be a doomed endeavor, chose because of the rain head feature. It is wonderful I now much prefer my coffee to any take out I would highly recommend
