Easy to use with the result being good hot coffee. I’m not sure the “Bold” setting makes much of a difference in brewing time, which I found to be a bit slow. I use the bold setting and I thought that was accomplished by a slower release of the water over the coffee.

The coffee maker is great. The one minor critique is I wish that the pot you did not have to take off the lid each time rather it would be a flip up lid.

This coffee maker replaced our newish Mr. Coffee maker and there is absolutely no comparison!
First, we are latte drinkers so we especially appreciate the low-medium-high burner plate setting. Lots of cream calls for an extra hot burner plate. We love this feature!
Next, the auto-set and programming is simple and quick to use so making coffee for the next morning is quick and easy as is the initial setup.
Next is the design of the machine. It's stainless steel base fits nicely with our other stainless appliances and it doesn't take up too much counter space.
The 14 cup pot- what can i say? We are 3 adults who love our coffee so the extra 2 cups is a bonus!
Lastly, the only thing we don't care for is that you have to completey remove the lid on the carafe in order to rinse it out. There is not a "hinge" like most carafes. This slows down the process a bit. This is why I didn't give 5 stars. Otherwise, it's a great coffee maker and

Got this new coffee maker to replace a very old and much loved Krups. It is great, looks nice, functions well. I love the temp adjustment for the carafe, the bold feature, and the charcoal filter. It came with a gold micro mesh filter, which makes using paper filters optional. What's not to love?
