After the frustration of buying my 3rd coffeemaker in less than 2 years, I decided to just go big and spring for a Cuisinart model. It is a very stylish machine. We like that we don't have to throw paper filters away every day and can just toss the used grounds into our composter. The clock and timer are easy to use and I like that we can turn the chime off when people are sleeping. The machine is easy to clean and looks nice on the counter. Oh, and it makes GREAT COFFEE!

I love this coffee pot. The only downside is that water condensates it the underside of the lid. So when you open the top, the water has pooled there and then drips on the counter.

Easy to use, clean, good programmability; but tends to suffer from a short lifetime. This is the tjird identical coffemaker I have owned and the lifer]time is only around 4 years. If you break the carafe they are difficult to get and expensive. Repair cost are just way too much, hence just buying another one. Be aware, you need to purchase water filters separately.

Love this coffee pot! This is my third one! Only problem is bottom rusts out approx every 2 years and quits working. However, I still love it and will continue to purchase a replacement!

As far as making a cup of coffee goes, this gets the job done. I would not say the coffee tastes better or different. It tastes like my normal coffee. I do wish the spout on the carafe was wider. I find myself always wiping up dribbles after I fill the maker up to brew. I like the options. The bold feature is one of my favorites. The done timer is loud. I think this maker was designed to be next to a Detroit auto assembly line since it is so obnoxiously loud. Luckily it has an option to turn it off. The carafe is tough to slide under the maker. It has a option to pull the pot to pour off a cup before the full pot has brewed. To do this the maker has a spring loaded button to stop the flow once the carafe has been removed. Sometimes it slides in with no issues. Most of the time I need to pop it in place.
Overall this is a decent coffee maker. It could be a great maker with some modifications.
