Love the coffee maker overall but there are just a couple of design issues they could fix. 1. If you make under 4 cups, you have to select a 1-4 cup button before brewing and I don’t know why this step should be necessary. 2. The lid of the coffee pot has to be completely removed to fill. Then you have to snap it back on before brewing the coffee into it. I wish it had a hinged lid because it is easy to forget to place the lid back on to allow the coffee to drip into the carafe and then the filter overflows and sends coffee grounds into the water receptacle making a huge mess. A hinged lid would always be on the pot preventing one from forgetting to put it on after pouring your water into the receptacle.

Overall this is a great unit. It's not too big but has a 14 cup carafe, which is great for company. However I'm disappointed in the amount of water that collects on the lid. When you lift the lid to make coffee, water drips all over the counter. The channel to direct water is simply not well thought out. So every time I make coffee I have to wipe down the counter and the back of the unit.
I would recommend this to a friend!
