The coffee maker makes average coffee. It does create a very strong plastic smell even a month after daily use. Pouring water into the tank from the coffee pot is very messy because something allows water to drip all over the counter. I wouldn't choose this again.

Very good coffee maker for the money. Not completely dripless as you would have to still pour the water in and coffee out somewhat carefully not to drip but it’s easily manageable once your familiar with the carafe.

Looks great, but has some faults. Water runs down the back when you empty the grinds. Constantly having to wipe it up. The alarm to let you know coffee is ready couldn’t be anymore annoying. It is easier to fill it with water then our old 12 cup Cusinart. It would be nice if they mentioned how hot the carafe temperatures are.

I’ve had several generations of this coffeemaker. Always highest rated by CR. Take care not to overfill with water and you will get many years of delicious coffee. Buy an extra carafe so you don’t have to suffer through down time.
