There appears to be a slight design flaw with the lid. As you pour, it leaks out onto the counter from the right side, unless you tip it much further to the left. Holding it straight, will yield a puddle on the counter.

I love the features on this coffee maker enough to give it 5 stars, only disappointment so far is the little plastic loop on the coffee filter holder broke almost immediately.

Very nice coffee maker with a few flaws. I am on my third one, the first lasted about 4 - 5 years and finally rusted away. yes, the bottom part is made of metal and due to the fact that water leaks from the pot as you try and fill the reservoir, the thing ultimately rusted...which brings me to problem #2.
Every one the three that I had, you couldn't fill the reservoir without getting water all over the counter if you just poured a hair off to the right or left.
The reason I'm on my third one? The second one stopped working after two weeks...electrical issues, push the button and nothing happens, so it was replaced under warranty.
FYI, they have the same coffee maker on Two and a Half Men.

This is a great coffee pot. I make only 4 cups in the morning and this has that option and makes a good, hot cup of coffee. I also like the bold option since I like strong coffee. Very easy to clean and could not be happier with the coffeemaker.

I love this coffee maker. It makes my coffee hotter than my previous maker (a Mr. Coffee), the plate can be left on for up to four hours instead of two, and it makes a 14 cup pot instead of a 12. I love it!!!

Have purchased several Cuisinart coffee makers in the past and had no issues with their products. I purchased this one as an additional item not a replacement.
Been using it for a few months and seems to deliver a good cup if coffee. Only issue is the cover on the carafe that may be at times a bit difficult to remove.
