Our previous coffee maker was slow, messy because it dripped a lot, and didn’t make a big enough pot. This new one solves all of that. We really like it and it makes great coffee!

This is our fourth Cuisinart 14 cup coffee maker. Two in Maryland and two in Maine. I find that every time I fill our new coffee maker, for the past two months, about one or two tablespoons of water will drip on the counter and/or the side of the coffee maker. Some times when pouring the brewed coffee into a mug it will also drip a couple drops on the counter. Have not had this problem with the other units we own. Also, ironically, the carafe lid snaps on very tightly and is difficult to remove when finished.

I have been a fan of Cuisinart for over 20 years, and we truly love the 14-cup coffee maker, but this new coffee maker has one major flaw, the coffee grounds flow out of the filter or basket (whichever is used) just making a complete mess everywhere. I replaced the last one we had that was just about 2 1/2 years old because the brew function was getting louder every morning and could not stand the sound any longer. The one prior to that lasted 8 months until the warming plate quit working. I hate to say it, but we need to find another coffee maker that fits our needs better, since cleaning the whole machine is not an option every morning and this current one did not even make a month in our home before we got a new one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The on/off switch stopped working after 3 weeks. If you do decide to purchase, make sure the store has a 90-day refund policy, otherwise you’ll be SOL.
Good flavored coffee but not having an on/off switch light up is a real bad issue. And I’m not cutting my cord in half to submit a warranty claim while Cuisinart takes their sweet time.
