Make a great cup of coffee! No burn taste after sitting on burner for a while like most do. Love the backlight on the clock and view window for water! Perfect coffee every time.

I absolutely love this coffee maker. The coffee tastes as good as french press. There are 3 people in my home drinking their morning coffee, the 14 cup capacity is priceless. It brews fast and hot. The reason I give this 4 stars, is the desalination sensor is crap. I've had this machine for about 4 weeks. The light came on after 6 days. I cleaned it, then it was 4 days. Now its evety 3 days. I have pretty good water and have never had issues with other appliances having water scale issues. Now i just hit the button to ignore. Not a deal breaker, but it's very annoying.

This unit makes very good coffee and does so in a fairly short time. It uses a cone #4 filter and some people don't like that but for me it works fine. The unit doesn't have a fail safe so if the pot lid is not aligned right with the filter basket, it can cause the hot water that was just brewed to stay backed up in the filter basket causing the coffee to be extra strong and grounds to get inside the basket and the basket holder, but this happens with virtually any unit with a single cup stop flow feature. Also, if you have to move the unit out from under a cabinet in order to fill the water and grounds basket, when you push it back under the cabinet to start the brew, some of the water will splash over into the overflow prevention feature and leak out onto the counter. It's usually a small amount and not a big deal. I researched Consumer Reports prior to buying this unit. It is the best lower cost unit tested and I'd agree. It is a very good unit that should be strongly considered.
