This is probably my 3rd Cuisinart coffee maker. They last a long time! I would prefer a hinged lid but I am aware of the fact that, even if I make sure the lid snaps tight, the weight of the coffee could make it come off. I just put my thumb on it while pouring. So no problems. Other than that, I love it!!

I ordered this coffeemaker to replace my old Cuisinart just because it is very old and I saw that this 14 cup model was on sale. I have purchased Cuisinart coffeematers for wedding gifts for special people and have never regretted that. My old one is now retired and I put it in the new box to store for backup when I have visiting guests and need more coffee, because it still works wonderfully.

Our 2nd 14 cup coffee maker from Cuisinart. The first had a leaky carafe which appears not to be the case for the new one. Great tasting coffee. I wish the “coffee done” tone was louder.

Love the large 14 cup size! The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is because the carafe spills all over when filling the machine AND when poring the coffee - every time, even when being careful.

We finally had to purchase a new coffee pot and chose Cuisinart..Besides the price being reasonable, unsung the coffee pot is easy. It has a warming section, tone to let you know when finished. I was also surprised to see how bold you wanted to brew.
