Makes great coffee-we have purchased this model twice now. This time we bought the white one and I would not recommend because the coffee dries on the white plastic and loots messy.

Cuisinart makes great products. This is my third Cuisinart coffeemaker, the last two being grind and brew models that each lasted around 10 years. This time I decided to buy a drip coffeemaker of another brand and a separate grinder. Foolish me, that coffeemaker lasted 6 months before it began leaking. I had no interest in getting a replacement under the 1-year warranty, because this turned out to be a common problem according to reviews. Cuisinart offers a 3-year warranty and honors it, as I discovered when one of my previous units failed. I am very happy with this coffeemaker, it has the features I wanted and brews a great pot of coffee. Some people comment that the space for pouring water into the unit is small and thus difficult to maneuver when using the carafe to fill it. I agree, and if i didn’t have a sink faucet with an extension, I would probably have to get something more akin to a watering can for filling. But for me, it serves the purpose and is nice and compact.

Four stars for durability, five for everything else. My wife owns a coffee shop, so we have everything in our house: Keurig, Breville espresso machine, Nespresso, French press, etc. But sometimes you just need to be able to set a timer and have coffee when you wake up in the morning. We bought this model about seven years ago and used it daily until about a month ago when it simply died. Upon further inspection I noticed that it had begun leaking internally at some point and the bottom was all rusted out. Is seven years a good life for a coffee pot? I don't know, but after thorough research we bought the same model again because we couldn't find anything we like better. Hopefully this one will last longer!

Every function is easy to understand and the machine makes great coffee.
If I had to find something that needs improvement, I would suggest the carafe have a swivel lid instead of a snap in place.
