The new bold feature makes better coffee from milder roasts. Overall the coffee is better than my prior model. Otherwise the features and operation are identical. I wish Cuisinart would modify the spout of the pitcher so it doesn't spill so often and so easily while pouring.

The Cuisinart 14 cup coffee maker has everything! From bold to mild settings, small amounts or up 14 cups. The brew cycle is quick and quiet. Use paper filters or the brew basket that’s included. The digital clock is easy to set and programmable for that ready in the morning wake-up drinker.

We have always bought Cuisinart coffee makers & this latest model is made cheaply. Not much metal but mostly plastic. There are also plastic pieces on the bottom and the coffee make slightly tetters. Coffee is still a good cup of coffee.

My wife and I are so much happier with our new Cuisinart 14 Cup Programmable Coffee Maker than our previous brand, which we had for many years and cost much more. Wish we had made the upgrade sooner. Coffee tastes great, stays hot for up to four hours and is so much easier to clean. We would expect to pay much more for a coffee maker of this quality.
