This is the second one of this coffeemaker that we’ve had. Our first one lasted over 7 years. We replaced it even though it was still working. We just wanted a new one. This model makes great coffee and is easy to use.

This was a replacement unit for one that was problematic. Happy to get the new unit under the warranty.
The pot lid does leak a bit if you pour the water out too quickly. It seems not to seal quite firmly near the pouring lip. I pour slowly and bring a bit of paper towel along in case of a leak of water.

Pros: 1) The 14 cup capacity which is perfect for my family of 4 coffee drinkers. 2) Coffee tastes good; brews well.
Cons: 1) The area where you pour in water is awkward. You have to pivot the entire coffeemaker 45 degrees to the left to access the area. The water always overshoots & I always make a mess. You also cannot fill it even one hair over the 14 cup line, otherwise water spills out the back through an odd hole that's on the backside. 2) The charcoal water filter holder has never seated right & just floats & bobs around in the reservoir, causing the filter warning symbol to always be on, so I am sure it's not filtering anything. 3) The button & spring on my filter basket holder broke for no apparent reason.

I vowed to return this product during the 1st year I had it, but never did. I am tolerating it, but am not happy about what I see as major design flaws. Next time I need new coffeemaker, I will likely consider a different brand.

We purchased this Cuisinart coffeemaker to replace an old one that was no longer working as it should. We're very happy with it, as the coffee tastes better and this new one is easier to program. The old one had numbers (time) that were very hard to see, while this one has numbers that are easy to see. Therefore, I don't have to worry about my new coffeemaker starting up in the early evening.

I'm currently enjoying a cup of hot coffee from my 14 cup coffee maker from Cuisinart. This machine is so simple to operate and produces a wonderfully hot pot of coffee every time. I love the features, especially the 1-4 cup features and the ability to schedule when I want it to be a lot. The best feature about this coffee maker is the simplicity with which to clean it.
Hands down, the best Christmas present this year....
