I am a long time user of lignetics fuel pellets but the first time I bought this year preformed poorly and being a loyal customer I purchased another only to find over half of the bags on the pallet have a bad top seal and pellets were falling all over when I took the outside wrap off. The bad seal is in the same location on every bag.
I have been burning pellets for 30 years. The Lignetic brand pellet is the worst pellet I have used. The pellets won't burn without cleaning the burn pot twice daily. Even though the Lignetc pellet is less expensive than most brands, they are not worth the aggravation and wear-and-tear on your pellet stove. I'd give Lignetic pellets a -10 if possible.
After burning a dozen bags of Patriot pellets with great success, I bought 3 bags of Lignetics because the store was out of Patriot pellets. Piazetta stoves are finicky anyway, and need to be cleaned daily or at least every other day. The Lignetics clogged the burn pot overnight and a cascade of half-burned pellets caused the flame to get lazy and the glass black. Cleaned it thoroughly and went back to Patriot pellets and all is well again.
