To open the Z Fold is very difficult... I'm very disappointed about that and the fact that it is very difficult to type while the phone is closed. The sensor touch must be "off" or something because sometimes I have to touch the app icon or the letter I'm typing 5 to 10 times to get a response.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the Galaxy Z Fold7, Greg. We understand that getting used to a new phone can take some time, and we appreciate your feedback regarding the phone being a little difficult to open for you. For the touch response challenges, we recommend powering off your phone and turning it back on to see if that helps. It’s also a good idea to ensure your phone is running the latest software update, as this can improve performance. If this continues, please check the link provided for more troubleshooting options. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Review: The Foldable Phone That's Straight Out of a Sci-Fi Dream In a world where smartphones have started to feel a bit too same-y, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 bursts onto the scene like a futuristic gadget ripped from a cyberpunk novel. Launched in mid-2025, this seventh-generation foldable doesn't just iterate on the formula—it redefines what "cool" means for mobile tech. If you're tired of slab phones that do the job but lack that wow factor, the Z Fold 7 is here to remind you why foldables were always destined to be the next big thing. After spending time with it, I can confidently say it's one of the most exhilarating devices I've held, blending seamless design, powerhouse performance, and innovative features that make everyday tasks feel like magic.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been using z flip for past 6 years and I would never change or go to other phone for the rest of my life.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Galaxy Z Fold 7 takes the foldable experience to the next level. With a more refined design, a stronger hinge, and improved durability, it Runs on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy → blazing fast, optimized for multitasking. 4,800 mAh battery → comfortably lasts a day, even with heavy multitasking. 25W wired charging, 15W wireless, and reverse wireless charging. Not as fast as some competitors, but efficient One UI Fold Edition: multitasking powerhouse. Taskbar lets you jump between apps like on a laptop. Samsung DeX works great for desktop-like use. Best for: Power users, multitaskers, business productivity, people who love large screens.
I think the concept of the phone is really amazing. Samsung is known for personalization and great apps however, they're also known to have great camera quality and this phone fell short of that. The phone takes horrible pictures compared to the Galaxy series.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Galaxy Z Fold7, Sonia! We appreciate your feedback about the camera quality. We love to see that, besides your concern about the camera, you think the concept of the Z Fold7 is amazing. We want to note that the Galaxy Z Fold7 features an advanced camera system with five cameras, including a high-resolution 200 MP wide-angle camera, which is the same one found on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This means you'll get clear, sharp images in various lighting conditions, thanks to the ProVisual Engine built into the processor.
