Upgraded Xfinity triple play modem

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upgraded from DOCSIS 3.0 to 3.1. Installation was easy and Xfinity had an easy time to configure the modem. Once installed, the speeds have been incredible. Speedtest runs have us at or slightly higher than the Xfinity plan we have for downloads!

Needs a router with it according to Xfinity Tech

The Xfinity Tech came to install and he told me he will need a router with it to install it, otherwise, it won't work and he has to use the one from Xfinity itself unless I want to use this alone with ethernet plugged it directlly. He showed me the back of this Nighthawk's box that it says it needs a router
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works as advertised

Swapped out the rented router/firewall from Xfinity with the modem to gain better control for VPNs and remove the double NAT on my home network. Installation was simple and quick with Xfinity. Works as advertised

This modem has more Gigs capability than my current plan. If I increase my plan in the future, this will still work for me. Win Win

3 months in and modem works great. Corrected the frequent internet drops we were having, blazing speed and two phone lines. Beats paying monthly to the cable company by miles.
