Simply irresistible

As with all netgear products this is a breeze to setup.
It functions as described.
If you’re in the upper tiers of what the cables companies can deliver over coax with voice, get this cable modem.
Don’t bother with the other vendors or the rhetoric from the cables companies.
You will recover the expense and have complete control over your environment.
Tell em’ large marge sent you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had a Netgear modem and router for years and never had a problem with them. I am not a network guy. There is plenty of help online so it wasn't to bad. My wi-fi and cabled speeds increased. I am happy.

I had a lot of issues with speed dropping to 100 megabits in the beginning but seems to be steady now.

Terrible latency

Bought this modem and ever since our internet has had terrible latency. Xfinity has sent out several techs and everything is perfect, except for the modem. Net gear refuses to take responsibility and now I am stuck with this horrible modem. Renting was far better

This NETGEAR modem replaces an older NETGEAR gateway that Xfinity no longer supports. It is easy to install and if you already use the voice feature, you can install without contacting Xfinity.
