Modem itself was plug and play but had to manually update the firmware on the Netgear Mesh Router; for some reason the system did not like my old main network ID and I had to rename it. So far, so good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to connect. Cable provider only provides 1GB, but I'll be ready for faster speeds with this modem.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our old modem, was at EOL due to it not supporting new network standards. We replaced, vs renting from the cable provider.
The installation should have been simple, I needed to contact the cable company so they could update the MAC Address. 3.5 hours later, plus netgear support, determined, it was a MAC address issue with the cable company.
Everything works well, except I noticed I have 39 devices on the router, so next phase upgrade the router to handle more devices. All of my newer appliances want wifi connections, plus everything else, including the 1 car.
