[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this in the middle of a heat wave when my central a/c broke and wasn't fixed for about a month and a half. I needed something affordable, easy to install, and that would cool adequately. This unit hit all the bells.

*Ensure the capacity of the room air conditioner fits your room size for efficient and satisfactory operation. You may visit https://www.frigidaire.com/Owner-Center/Product-Support-FAQs/Home-Comfort/ to learn further details about the correct BTU’s for your room.
* Try installing your air conditioner on the shady side of your home/room. A window that faces north is best because it is shaded most of the day.
* External house shading with trees, plants or awnings will help reduce the air conditioner’s workload.
