Great bed, complex and timely assembly.

Very sturdy bed, the metal bean running thru the bottom of the top bunk adds to the safety.
Assembly took about 5 hours - with a good handyman.
The reason for 4 stars is that the stairs didn’t nestle / fit in between the bed frame so the finishing panels ended up being angled, it doesn’t look right.

Very strong smell

The bed seems sturdy and was straightforward for my (contractor) husband to put together. The reason I am giving three stars is because the smell is STRONG. I am not comfortable with my kids sleeping in the bunks until the smell is gone and so now we are in a bit of a pinch now that the bed is put together. I had hoped it would get better after a few hours out of the box but it has not - hopefully other reviewers are right that it will go away within a week.

Solid option for small kids

The unit was easy to assemble, and its low height means we can reach to put our son in the top bunk when he falls asleep elsewhere.
It does have random little bits of trim around the stairs that seem fairly useless and likely to snap, and leave sharp edges, with real kids using it.

Beautiful new bunks allow for more floor space

We bought these bunk beds for our kiddos for Christmas and were prepared for the shipping to take awhile but we received our beds way earlier than I’d expected! The packages were so heavy but packed really well with nothing damaged or scratched. It took time and patience to put the beds and steps together (especially with two excited kids!) but the finished product is beautiful and sturdy. I feel comfortable climbing the steps and laying in the top bunk as an adult. I love the height and I can still reach my kiddo on the top bunk. The bottom bunk is perfect for my youngest. One thing I didn’t think about was the distance between bunks. It’s not quite tall enough for me to sit comfortably on the bottom bunk without bonking my head but we’ve happily adjusted. The bunks make the bedroom feel bigger! We have loved them so far!

Perfect size yet a few design issues

This beautiful piece of furniture is not as big as I suspected - and that's a plus! It is clean looking and perfect for our children. My issues with this is that it is slightly wobbly- all bolts and screws are firmly in place but still not as sturdy as I'd suspect for a real wood bunk bed. Also, the slats are further apart than I expected them to be. With all the foam mattresses (especially shallow ones 5.5in-8in) made specifically for children and bunk beds; the mattresses are not as firm due to how far apart the slats are. Mattresses seem to easily dip through the slats with the light weight of an child. Also the description says this bunk bed comes with "storage"... this term is a misnomer. The "storage" space is a small space shelf...it's not adequate to be called storage; only to put a few books on with a couple of small stuffed animals.

Solid quality. Low bunk bed. Feel safe for my grandkids to climb up and down the staircase. Assemble process is a bit challenging. Definitely need two persons and lots of patience. Staircase is harder than the beds. One of the parts came with incorrect number label which caused some extra hours of work. The final step of the design to cover inside of the staircase with boards was rough and not well thought. We have to use edge protection strip to cover all sides of the boards so kids won’t get injured by the rough edges. Strong recommend manufacture to improve this part. Other than that, this is a good product. My grandkids love it and will last for a long time

Perfect for toddlers

Overall would recommend, it’s perfect for my 2 and 3 year old. Took my husband a long time to set up which was unexpected (6 hours) since he’s good with this stuff. the stairs portion was the most difficult. My only thing to complain about is the piece of wood covering the gap between the top stair and top bunk bed looks very cheap. Noticeable holes on the side and not stained so it sticks out like a sore thumb and from under the bed it’s all unfinished and looks misplaced. Dissatisfied with that since it’s not a cheap bed. They can do better. I’d attach a picture if I could.
