I love the way this watch looks and feels. The large screen is easy to read and I like the addition of the round middle button. Gives it a more traditional look.
I owned the galaxy watch 4 and traded it in for the 8 ultra. The battery life is a vast improvement. It has more features and a larger screen. Surprisingly, as big as it is, the watch is not heavy. This version is leaps and bounds above the past watch. I highly recommended it
This is the first smartwatch I've owned and im overall happy with it. My sole purpose for buying this watch was to use it as a phone replacement so I don't have to bring my phone with me outside the house in 90% of conditions. I am a small but growing number of people who have just gotten tired of lugging around A phone with me everywhere I go and I find the smartwatch to have just the right amount of tools to get you by in the outside world without a phone. Health monitoring and exercise features are just a bonus.
Battery could be better. I find if you use the watch to its max meaning you send a few messages, make a few short calls, use the stopwatch/countdown timer, maybe use maps, listen to a few songs and start an workout you may be needing to charge the watch again by the end of the day. I often put the watch in battery saver and airplane mode if I know I dont need to communicate with anyone to save battery.
Personally things I would like to see change in future watch Ultra releases are I wish samsung would redesign the watch to make it look closer to one of the garmin watches. I have gotten a few complements on the look of the ultra currently but you cant beat garmins rugged look. I just think the garmins look sharper. I would also like the watch to be bigger. Closer to the 51mm mark. You would get more screen real-estate and have room for a bigger battery. But overall its a great watch.
