I recently purchased the ice cream maker and my first impression is that the part that you can't submerge in water but comes in contact with the ingredients should have a lock mechanism so that you can wash the metal much more easily. Otherwise, compact and provides the opportunity to make multiple options at once without making too much of each option.

Great results on first try

My first attempt resulted in delicious ie cream. I used the recipe in the book for chocolate and vanilla ice cream. With a little pre planning you can have a delicious frozen dessert of your choice. Next on my list of recipes will be a grapefruit t sorbet with vermouth.
