I have tried several recipes and they all come out with ice crystals. However, the main drawback for this appliance is how hard it is to clean the blade. I wish it was detachable somehow. There's also grease seeping frequently on the other end of the blade.
It's fun to use, but needs refining.

Cheap, Weak, and Clunky

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Horrendous experience. I used it once and it worked really well so I filled the other cups with the same recipe and tried a second use today. Could not get the blender to come back up after reaching the bottom of the cup. Motor got very hot so I stopped, unplugged, and get the unit a few minutes. Plugged it back in and tried again, same thing. Motor is stuck halfway down and now the light won’t come on at all, making me think that the motor has burnt out. On the second usage, this is hugely disappointing. Only upside is that it was a gift so I don’t have to feel like I’m out the way over priced, cheaply made blender that need pre planning and a large amount of storage space in the freezer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
