I love the size and ease of use when mixing the ice cream. It takes up very little space. The ice cream tastes really good. It's convenient to use. The only complaint is cleaning the blade. It's physically hard to push the blade out to clean it; then try and run it under water with soap and not get the whole part of the appliance wet.

Serious Design Flaws Create Food Safety Issues

There are significant hygiene problems with this ice cream maker that potential buyers should understand. I’m not a germophobe at all- but standard cleaning with soap and water is insufficient for this machine. Proper sanitation requires complete disassembly using a T12 Torx bit screwdriver and specialty pliers to release the collar lock mechanism and remove the spring assembly. This process takes approximately 10 minutes each time, is impractical for regular use, and requires two specialty tools that almost nobody will have. The critical issue is that dairy products penetrate areas that cannot be accessed during normal cleaning. The blade housing design prevents thorough cleaning, creating dead spaces where organic matter accumulates. The gasket seal is inadequate - it fails to prevent dairy from entering internal mechanisms where it becomes trapped. Dairy residue in inaccessible areas creates ideal conditions for pathogenic bacteria. Within days of use, persistent odors develop that cannot be eliminated through surface cleaning. This indicates bacterial colonization in areas that remain contaminated despite cleaning efforts.
The food contact surfaces that cannot be properly sanitized pose legitimate food safety risks— things like Salmonella, E. coli, and Listeria can proliferate in dairy environments. This is fundamentally a design failure. Food processing equipment should allow complete access to all surfaces that contact ingredients. The FastFreeze’s internal architecture makes thorough decontamination practically impossible for typical users.

I cannot recommend this product due to these hygiene limitations. Food safety equipment should not require specialized tools and extensive disassembly for basic sanitation. There are alternative ice cream makers with accessible designs that allow proper cleaning protocols.

Fits our small kitchen perfectly

I've had this for a few weeks now and am enjoying it, it's being used almost every day. The container size is perfect for our needs and I love that it takes up so much less space than the machine it functions similarly to. My main criticisms are that I wish it were easier to clean without the blade springing back up at you, and that only having three containers makes it awkward for my family of four to be able to choose their own flavors. I wish additional containers were available to purchase.

I have two Cuisinart ice cream makers but I do not have a large freezer to put the large insert into the freezer to freeze. This ice cream maker is definitely the best. You only freeze the pint size container(s) and that fits perfectly without a problem. The ice cream is delicious!! It is very easy to mix and freeze, adding cookies or candy and the wand does all the work, it is very easy to use. I love it.

I am SO happy with my purchase. This is a full featured powerhouse of an ice cream machine, that I can PUT IN A DRAWER! It's the size of an immersion blender. It doesn't take up any counter space!! Makes fantastic ice cream in a matter of seconds. I toss some crumbled Oreos on top and use the mix-in setting, and it gently mixes the cookies throughout the ice cream, all the way to the bottom, without breaking the pieces. Makes great protein shake ice cream too. Do yourself a favor and buy this machine!

I love ice cream ( well who doesn’t) but it can increase the waist line area. I purchased this item so I could control the ingredients. I have made some using a protein shake, Greek yogurt , fresh fruit etc. it has all come out so delicious . So easy use and makes the perfect amount. Would totally recommend this product .
