Needs a bit more power. No matter how slow I push down, it overheats and I get a faint burning smell on my first plunge. Even if I leave the container out for 1/2 an hour and run it under hot water for a minute. If it weren’t for that, I’d give 5 stars

After a bit of a learning curve to fit parts and use this ice cream maker, it worked beautifully. Ingredient containers frozen for over 24 hours need a longer defrost time than 10 minutes. Hard-frozen ingredients turn to a crumbly texture when processed until thawed further. Feel a need for 3 hands to clean as instructed: pushing the blend/paddle mechanism out and washing. Perfect for making small, different flavors, and individual servings.
