Okay, but no better then my previous Aquatec AT 81

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm still not sure. I am never able to get an "efficient" shave (green light) and although it gives a clean shave, the beard seems to grow back faster than my previous Norelco Aquatec AT 810.

If your shaver does not charge when it is plugged in, your outlet might not work. Try using a different outlet to charge it. Not all Philips shavers use the same charger, and the charger provided with one model might not be compatible with another. We recommend charging the shaver by using the original charger that came with your shaver. Check your charging adapter and cord for signs of damage. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The "slider" part, on the head attracted my attention. Until I had to shave under my nose. It seems the apertures for the blades are a bit far in, from the edge, thus making it an interesting maneuver to reach the hairs under my nose. But, I manage... I also notice, I have to make a few more passes for the blades to catch and cut the hairs on my beard. Unlike the cheaper aquatec, I've had for 6 years. I also found it to be quieter than the aquatec. Overall, I have it now, and I will use it hopefully for a few years. I do believe in the quality of shavers from Philips Norelco and that's why I continue to purchase your products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the idea of putting an AI based control software into the machine, because everybody's hair grow direction and amounts are different. I also really appreciated Philips to make the cleaning stand available to use with this product as well, which can be bought separately if you want to. Overall, it provides good shave in curved areas such as the jawline, neck area under the chin and most of the chin area, which are the areas where a foil shaver typically fails. However, I noticed that its performance is not very good on cheeks, upper cheeks, sides of the neck area towards the ear (flatter areas of your face). I think the only improvement this machine needs is to get better at the cheeks. I was also surprised by the fact that in the areas it shaves well, it gives very close shave comparable to foil shavers with much less skin irritation.
