No external sounds due to the excellent noise canceling, only the music. These sleek headphones are very comfortable to wear and of course the sound is pristine. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These were gifts for Christmas and the sound is staticky even at a low volume. The first set was exchanged thinking maybe those were just a defect, but nope I'm about to go exchange the second set and pray for a better outcome.
I have some from like 3 or 4 yrs ago and they just started sounding staticky which that i understand they have been used alot and at all levels of volume.
