Hello, and thank you for giving us a try. We're sorry to hear that you have found tiny particles in your water. While particles of activated carbon are not harmful, we'd love to turn this around for you. It is normal for carbon particles to appear in your first fillings but re-soaking the filter, completely submerged in a tall glass of cold water, for 15 minutes, then holding it for 1-2 minutes under cold running tap water is often enough to minimize this. The particles also may be minimized by ensuring that water does not run into the reservoir with full force and that the incoming water is generally directed away from the filter. Dispenser Filter Works Great!
