I’m sold on Brita and won’t buy bottled water!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not working for Brita, but I have used a Brita Filter for years.
Before taking the time to write this, I did a little research and learned that 8.8 million metric tons of plastic waste enters the ocean from coastal communities each year (Wikipedia: Plastic Pollution). That's a lot of plastic being thrown into our oceans.
Furthermore, "The chemical structure of most plastics renders them resistant to many natural processes of degradation..."
Wherever I go, plastic bottles containing drinking water abound; "For sale" in grocery stores, drug stores, big box stores, sports events, movie theatres, etc.
My question to you: instead of buying bottles of water, why not buy a filtration system of your own and fill your own drinking containers? You'll save money in the long run, and cut down on plastic waste at the same time. My Brita filter sits on my kitchen counter. I change the filter every couple of months. It's simple and "green."
By continuing to buy bottled water, we, the consumers, “demand" that the "suppliers" continue to produce the the 380 million tons of plastic produced annually. Supply and Demand at work.

Clean, Crisp, & Flows Quickly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will never buy generic filters again. Brita is the only filter I will purchase moving forward. Brita filters do not leave black particles in the pitcher. They do not seep water around the outside of the filter even when fitted. And Brita filters do not take forever to fill the pitcher because the water flows quickly through it
