I have 7 official wireless charging pads (8 if you include the wireless charging feature on the Phone. None work. Cable required. Also Battery issues seem to be getting worse. This will be my last one.

The new watch 8 was a nice upgrade from the watch 7. Band style and connection is much better and I like the slightly larger and flatter watch body itself.
the phone just the watch just stopped working I don't know why it won't even charge for me

Howdy Lucy, Thank you for reaching out to share your thoughts with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Watch8. If your watch's battery is completely discharged, it will not power on. You'll need to charge it before turning it on. If the watch will not power on, it doesn't seem to charge, or the light on the charger blinks, the problem could be anything from the battery, connection, the charger, or the watch itself. Please take a look at, "Samsung smart watch will not charge or power on" to help resolve what you've described. Feel free to reach out to Samsung Support afterward if you would like any further assistance. Thanks for being a valued Samsung customer. - Debra

I switched from Garmin to this Samsung watch since the life of my Garmin was coming to an end (had it for about 5ish years) and the most up-to-date model wasn't exactly wallet friendly. I was looking forward to having the fitness features as well as being able to make phones calls/text from the watch. The health features are great. I enjoy the suggested exercises throughout my day and the move reminders (though Garmin has those too). The sleep app appears to be more accurate than my Garmin was, but again, it was about 5 years old, so technology has changed a bit. Some additional fun things are that my car app is on the watch, so I can start my car from it; I can check my email, view photos, and scroll through entire text conversations. There is, however, one big downside that may keep me from buying a Samsung watch in the future, and that’s the battery life; it’s practically nonexistent without most features turned off. My Garmin – in the beginning – lasted about 10 days to two weeks, towards the end I got about 5 days of battery life. The Samsung watch barely makes it a full 24-hours without needing to be charged. I’ve done what I can to make the watch life as efficient as possible: putting on night-time DND, brightness setting, limiting background apps, charging pause to protect battery life. Unfortunately, it doesn’t do me much good. On the bright side, it charges very quickly, so I’m not waiting hours to get a full charge.
It's ok. I had high hopes but the watch is average at best. Hindsight says I should have gone a different route but I own it so I'll keep it for a while. Battery is a bummer, barely makes it through an entire day. The setup was a complete joke, nothing worked right out of the box. A ton of time spent trying to get the watch working and synced. Weather still doesn't work after hours of screwing around with it, trying fixes from Reddit and YouTube, etc, etc. Things like this should work without issue and setup should not take hours but rather minutes. Not impressed. This setup experience completely soured the purchase. If you're looking for a smartwatch, look elsewhere or save your money.

I upgraded from. Galaxy 5 watch to the Galaxy 8. It is a great watch for tracking my day and health. It is much more comfortable to wear than my Galaxy 5, which means I can sleep comfortably with it to track my sleep health etc. It is also slimmer. It’s all around a very nice watch. It wasn’t hard to find and download some apps. I also learned some new things to make it easier to use certain gestures to use the watch. I am very happy with my upgrade!
