I just bought this product for a couple of days. I place it in my bedroom and turn it on at night when the temperature is not too high. I don't need to turn on the AC as it is cool enough! I live in the warm California, but cool enough at some nights. I am a light sleeper and this machine is just so noiseless. I love it. I haven't tried the heater yet, but I will soon when winter gets too cold.

My friend recommend this one. I searched which model is good(AM 05 OR AM 09). This one is very quiet and warm up shortly. I am very satisfied. Because the price is high, it was not easy to decide a purchase. But that price has a reason.

I have been wanting a nice Dyson cooling fan for a while now, but the cost was a bit out of reach for me. I love the idea that there are no rotating parts that my grandchildren can get hurt on, and for it's size and weight it does a huge job. So along comes the Dyson AM09 fan / heater it has all the features I mentioned plus it is a heater as well. Since I can use it year round, it has suddenly become more affordable when you consider it is two products in one, and you can't beat the Dyson quality. I purchased one and have been totally happy with it.

The AM09 is the latest “hot and cool” air multiplier technology from ultimate vacuum maker Dyson. The unit is light, very stylish, tilts on its base up or down and takes up little space on either countertop or floor. There is a single power button on the base of the unit with all other functions removed to a small remote which magnetically stores on top of the unit. The AM09 is also much quieter than a conventional bladed fan and, of course, has no blades to collect dust.
While on the pricier side, you’ll find that given its function as both a cooler and heater you’ll use it year round. Bear in mind it is not an air conditioner but an air multiplier with either wide or focused dispersion of air as conditions require. I tend to use a narrow oscillating focus of air when cooling and the wide dispersion setting when heating my bathroom. I am especially impressed with the AM09’s ability to quickly bring my bathroom to toasty warmth on cold mornings without overheating. It’s efficient thermostat will keep the heat at whatever degree of temperature you desire.
In summary, the AM09 is a worthy investment in year-round comfort.

This product saved me! I'm renting a room in an old row house in DC where the central heat doesn't exactly have the umph to reach upstairs. I brought this home, slipped on the base plate, plugged it in, and in no time it was warming the place up. The room is no larger than 160sq. ft., and it increased the room temperature from 60 to 70 in very little time. It's "intelligent" so it slows the fan speed, and "idles" at the preset temperature. It tilts, it oscillates, produces no odor, looks cool, has a remote, and knows I will love it forever.

Absolutely love this fan! My favorite feature is the Jet Focus technology, the room evenly cools / heats and the fan is super quiet compared to its predecessors. Super modern style and very user friendly!
