I have only used it for about a month, but think it will definitely do the trick!
Just looking for something quiet and effective to take the chill off of an unheated patio, and so far it's excellent!

The AM09 hot + cool fan heater has many great features and operating modes. It's attractive, light, and space saving. I live in an all electric building and the savings in my electric bill has been phenomenal over the summer. I'm hoping for the same during the winter months as I use the heater. When in use, the cooling mode is very quiet and flows like you have central air. The heating element heats my living area quickly. One down side is that the diffused heating mode, while not disturbing, is noisier than the personal heating mode. Overall, it's a wonderful product that I've been recommending to friends.

The heat is great if you run it ahead of time but the fan for heating is terrible.

Before retirement I was a Quality Professional. The Dyson AM09 is an oasis in a desert of mediocrity and poorly built products. I get many good comments on its looks and function.

The machine works as advertised. Way too expensive. But it is quiet and if that is important, this is the machine for you. And, it is pretty.
