I bought this for a cold basement and it works like magic! It is hard to believe that such a small machine can heat up such a large space. I cannot wait to use it this summer in the backyard patio to cool us out while dining al fresco!

Artistic Comfort for my Home

I bought this wonderful heater fan almost a year ago after my whole-house heater A/C system broke down and the only heat source was my electric oven! It is very thoughtfully and artistically designed. It quietly heats up my living area and then when it is warm enough it goes into a standby mode where it keeps the air flowing ever so slightly until it detects it needs to go on again. It automatically adjusts the fan level or one can set it at a certain level. It can diffuse air in a wide pattern or a narrow beam of air. I typically keep it in narrow mode and have it oscillate from side to side. At night I move it to my bedroom and turn down the thermostat. It is easy to move and cool to the touch even after using it due to its design. It keeps my room comfortable all night or I use the timer function to just give my room a burst of heat for an hour or so. When I wake up I use the remote to turn it up until it is warm enough to get out of bed. During the Summer I used the cool fan mode and it was great as well. By postponing replacing my old Heater A/C system, and using my Dyson fan instead, I have actually saved money on my utilities! This year I bought a second unit so both bedrooms will have heat at night for when I have guests. Even when it is not needed, I leave it on my side table because it looks like a work of art. Thank you Dyson for designing such a wonderful and useful product!

Quiet and works well

I bought this heater/fan a couple of weeks ago.
So far I have been very pleased with the performance of the product.
It is very quiet and heats a small room and keeps it to set temperature.
I am using it for my office when I do not want to heat the rest of the rooms with my forced air or wood heat.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quiet quiet quiet... even at the highest speed: only air noise no fan noise... Diffused not as good as focused... But range is excellent
