The perfect earbuds for small ears

These earbuds are the first pair I have owned that finally work for me! have really small ears and have tried numerous brands and I have the same issue with all of them- they won't stay in my ears and constantly fall out. The Bose Ultra Open Earbuds don't fit in your ear but rather clip on to the outside of your ear. They are snug and extremely comfortable. I can do any activity and they don't fall off or slip around, and I don't find my ears hurting after a while. They have excellent sound- they live up to what you would expect from Bose. The only downside is that they don't have noise cancellation, but they aren't designed to fit in your ear canal. I love how I can wear these but still hear what's going on around me. They have great sound quality for calls, music or for watching movies on the plane. And bonus, the case stands upright- I find this a great feature when I have it sitting on the tray table in the plane as it doesn't slide around. Highly recommend!!!

Great for work, great for home!

I really have enjoyed having the 2nd Gen Bose Ultra Open Earbuds! Just a little about myself, I’m in my 50s and I work part time for a large health network. I also have an active home life and enjoy walking outdoors. First, I must praise these earbuds for being completely wearable in my work environment! I am on my feet and have coworkers near me (I am not clinical but clerical) so I have to be able to hear them when there is something going on or we’re working together on something. The Ultra Open 2s allow me to have a little something on at a lower level, my ‘peaceful work music’ even while I engage with my coworkers. I don’t have to turn the music down, because it’s just loud enough to be soothing background music. It’s the perfect blend of being aware as well as having a nice chill vibe playing. As well, I do enjoy listening to louder music, and the Ultra Open 2s also came through huge for me! Rocking out, doing housework or taking a walk on the treadmill. They are perfect! I asked several people if they could hear the music when it was loud (I had them get close to my ears) and the answer was no! Obviously, at a very high volume they could tell that I had something playing, but could not identify what it was, not even if it was rock, or metal, or pop, nothing! That’s really impressive and I was really happy to know that if I do wear the Ultra Open 2s in public with music rocking that it would stay with me and not bother anyone else. As far as the features, these are fully customizable with the Bose App, and there are several modes you can use (my favorite is immersive). Everything you need to do can be controlled by the earbuds themselves, but the App gives you more to make them truly yours that fit into your lifestyle. The sound quality is excellent- I was really pleasantly surprised at how good it is! It exceeded my expectations. In the App you can customize the bass and treble with the equalizer and that’s a game changer depending on what you are listening to (book vs. music, etc.). The Ultra Open 2s are very comfortable and I have worn them for 2-3 hours with no discomfort. They never fall out/off! The battery stood up for these longer playing sessions as well. The case for the Ultra Open 2s is sleek and small. I carry mine in my purse and the earbuds stayed tucked in and the lid did not once open by accident. Finally, walking outside is a favorite activity for myself and my family. I can be engaged in conversation with them, and remain completely aware of my surroundings while I walk. Overall, the Bose Ultra Open 2nd Gen are a perfect fit for me and I am enjoying them very much. The materials are high quality and feel solid (but not heavy at all), which I am not surprised with since the Bose brand is so highly regarded. I’ll be using my Ultra Open 2s for a long time, and continue to enjoy every minute of listening time with them!

My new everyday earbuds.

My new everyday earbuds. Having only used a competitor’s earbuds for the past decade, I was always trying to find a better way for them to stay in my ear - aftermarket ear loops or changing out the ear tips - but putting on the Ultra Open Earbuds changed my loyalty. The new Ultra Open Earbuds are light, fit my ear, and deliver excellent sound - no adjustments or extra modifications needed. At the office, they still let in enough ambient sound that I can stay engaged with colleagues when they ask for help, while enjoying music to stay focused. While exercising, the earbuds stay in your ear no matter what you are doing, which is always an issue with other earbuds.
I strongly believe that if you buy the Ultra Open Earbuds, they'll become your everyday earbuds. Highly recommended.

A step up from the 1st Generation

I've had my 1st Gen open earbuds for a while now and have enjoyed them. I primarily use them for walks, commuting, and working in an environment where I need to hear the people around me. I've used the new 2nd Gen earbuds for about a month now and they are an improvement in almost every way. Volume levels are broader, the fit on my ear is improved, and even the case is improved to make keeping up with them easier. The sound quality is excellent, and keeping the immersive audio front facing helps keep me focused in a busy environment at work. I do wish I could customize the modes in the app to fit each environment more. I used the ear buds on a cross country road trip and they never felt uncomfortable or annoying while driving long hours and I was still able to have conversations with my family.

I bought these about a month ago and the quality is so good. These are amazing earbuds with amazing base sound in them. They are Bose and you can’t go wrong with Bose.

So much improvement from the gen 1 Ultra Open Earbuds! The phone call quality is remarkable compared to gen 1. The case quality feels nicer and I love that you can stand it up to charge it instead of just throwing it on the counter to charge. My only complaint is that it doesn’t say what percent the earbuds are at when you connect it to your phone and place them in your ears.

These earbuds are a step above for sound quality compared to the earlier version. The sound follows you as your head turns and the controls are very easy to use. They're great on the bike trail allowing me to listen to music or an audiobook and still hear the world around me. Highly recommend.

Even better than before

I had the first gen ultra open ear buds and did not think it could get any better…but it did… by a mile!
Music sounds better more and deeper and more natural. Phone calls even when windy are crystal clear, first gen struggled a bit with that..
I use my ultra open earbuds gen 2 when out walking my dog and they are perfect for this as I can listen to all my music and I listen to my dog Yoyo ..best iof both worlds!
