I am in love!

I bought these about 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love them! I got the cherry color which really doesn’t make a difference to my feelings but they’re very attractive. The sound is outstanding although I have to emit I am still getting used to the available sound options - immersive sound. I have used them to listen to music, mine and my husband’s as we listen to very different genres), and to listen to audio books. I like that I am not cut off from the rest of the world when I use these, I can still hear what is going on around me. I have purchased open earbuds in the past, and they were not a bargain brand, and although they were comfortable while I was using them I would get and ache on my ears when I removed them. I do not have this or with the Bose open earbuds, and though I am sure everyone says it you really forget you have the, on your ear they are so light weight and comfortable! I had no problem connecting them to my iPhone phone and also my iPad. I have not used them for more than 4 hours but I am confident the battery will last much longer. The case is very small compared to other earbuds we have in the house- mine or my husbands, open earbuds or in ear!
Having gushed about how great they are I will also admit I am getting used to putting them on my ears and removing them, I have nearly dropped them a time or two!

Have had these for the couple of weeks. They are comfortable and have great sound. The microphone is a definite improvement from the original. The battery life has been excellent.

Stay situationally aware with great sound quality

These headphones are a must for anyone looking for great sound, all day comfort, and the ability to hear your surroundings while still enjoying music, audiobooks and podcasts. They are very comfortable. The battery life blew me away with how long it lasted.

Why I Still Choose The Ultra Open Earbuds!

I’m in love with the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds 2, they’re even better than the first ones. I can make calls effortlessly now, making calls before could be a bit of problem hearing people clearly. They definitely fixed that issue! The battery lasts a lot longer, I hadn’t charged them over a week and I was still able to use them at work. Overall, the Ultra Open Earbuds are still my favorite out of every other earbuds I’ve tried, for sound quality, for how they feel on my ears, the connectivity etc.

Great Earbud Set with a Couple of Flaws

I have thoroughly enjoyed using the Bose Open Earbuds two. In my use, I generally use them for my walks with my dogs and doing work here at home. When I am in a quiet space, the sound is as immersive as can be for Open Earbuds. I have struggled for years with proper fitting earbuds, to the point of pain, so the design of the open earbuds, sitting just outside of my ear canal was a welcome, hurt-free surprise. Very, very comfortable. Two downfalls that lower my rating are phone calls and sound in noisy areas. It is hard to hear the person I am speaking with when making a call, and the person receiving my calls report it being very difficult to hear me. Seems a lot of the ambient sounds go through during calls. Additionally, while I know this is an open ear concept, there were times when I would “lose” the sound because of a noisy environment. While I don’t expect noise canceling features on this set, I wish there was a “loud” setting for the music to pump a little higher. Other than that, have been very pleased with the set and encourage anyone on the fence to give them a go. Another solid addition to the Bose lineup.

Good headphones and great features

A few features that I really like: 1) like the open cuff design - I have smaller ears so other in earbuds don’t always stay in my ear 2) like that can still hear surroundings since they are blocking ear canals 3) like the studio feature on them and can be adjusted. For the cons: 1) while I like can hear surroundings I do wish in other settings like an office that had a noise cancellation or reduction 2) they weren’t the best to run in. I know there’s a sports version of them so I might need to try that.

The perfect earbuds for small ears

These earbuds are the first pair I have owned that finally work for me! have really small ears and have tried numerous brands and I have the same issue with all of them- they won't stay in my ears and constantly fall out. The Bose Ultra Open Earbuds don't fit in your ear but rather clip on to the outside of your ear. They are snug and extremely comfortable. I can do any activity and they don't fall off or slip around, and I don't find my ears hurting after a while. They have excellent sound- they live up to what you would expect from Bose. The only downside is that they don't have noise cancellation, but they aren't designed to fit in your ear canal. I love how I can wear these but still hear what's going on around me. They have great sound quality for calls, music or for watching movies on the plane. And bonus, the case stands upright- I find this a great feature when I have it sitting on the tray table in the plane as it doesn't slide around. Highly recommend!!!

Great for work, great for home!

I really have enjoyed having the 2nd Gen Bose Ultra Open Earbuds! Just a little about myself, I’m in my 50s and I work part time for a large health network. I also have an active home life and enjoy walking outdoors. First, I must praise these earbuds for being completely wearable in my work environment! I am on my feet and have coworkers near me (I am not clinical but clerical) so I have to be able to hear them when there is something going on or we’re working together on something. The Ultra Open 2s allow me to have a little something on at a lower level, my ‘peaceful work music’ even while I engage with my coworkers. I don’t have to turn the music down, because it’s just loud enough to be soothing background music. It’s the perfect blend of being aware as well as having a nice chill vibe playing. As well, I do enjoy listening to louder music, and the Ultra Open 2s also came through huge for me! Rocking out, doing housework or taking a walk on the treadmill. They are perfect! I asked several people if they could hear the music when it was loud (I had them get close to my ears) and the answer was no! Obviously, at a very high volume they could tell that I had something playing, but could not identify what it was, not even if it was rock, or metal, or pop, nothing! That’s really impressive and I was really happy to know that if I do wear the Ultra Open 2s in public with music rocking that it would stay with me and not bother anyone else. As far as the features, these are fully customizable with the Bose App, and there are several modes you can use (my favorite is immersive). Everything you need to do can be controlled by the earbuds themselves, but the App gives you more to make them truly yours that fit into your lifestyle. The sound quality is excellent- I was really pleasantly surprised at how good it is! It exceeded my expectations. In the App you can customize the bass and treble with the equalizer and that’s a game changer depending on what you are listening to (book vs. music, etc.). The Ultra Open 2s are very comfortable and I have worn them for 2-3 hours with no discomfort. They never fall out/off! The battery stood up for these longer playing sessions as well. The case for the Ultra Open 2s is sleek and small. I carry mine in my purse and the earbuds stayed tucked in and the lid did not once open by accident. Finally, walking outside is a favorite activity for myself and my family. I can be engaged in conversation with them, and remain completely aware of my surroundings while I walk. Overall, the Bose Ultra Open 2nd Gen are a perfect fit for me and I am enjoying them very much. The materials are high quality and feel solid (but not heavy at all), which I am not surprised with since the Bose brand is so highly regarded. I’ll be using my Ultra Open 2s for a long time, and continue to enjoy every minute of listening time with them!
