Hi there Somerandomguy,
The Galaxy A17 5G features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display and a 50MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It also offers six years of operating system and security updates, making it an excellent choice for everyday use. We appreciate your feedback regarding the need for improved processor performance. To help maintain smooth performance, Device Care can close background apps, free up memory, and check storage. Keeping your software up to date is also essential for optimization. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on what you would like to see in future Galaxy devices.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this phone for its reputation at being fast and affordable and its lived up to its reputation. It does get wonky when activating the camera sometimes.. I dont know why. But for my uses to stream, crude the social highway, etc. It's pretty fantastic.

The review of the Galaxy a17
on October 7, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to get the A17 because I had a phone on my dad's account which was the Galaxy S24 Plus and he passed away and they shut the phone off because he had some phones on his account that we can no longer pay for and I had to get A17 it's an okay phone but it does not compare anything to you the s24 Plus it's a lot slower it takes forever to download it's just all around not that greater phone maybe if it was like a starter phone for somebody yeah I can see that but for somebody that's been using one of the better phones and having to step back to one of those not great I mean it takes forever sometimes to download a game or something and I tried to download all the stuff from my other phone and it took a quarter of it and once that happened it it just slowed down dramatically and wouldn't run right I can't hardly answer the phone when it rings it'll just sit there and stay where it says incoming call and that's all it says and I can't answer it or do nothing with it I still have my S24 Plus but and if there's any way I can go back to it I will but they got the EIN number blocked right now so hopefully it's not much longer and I'll be able to go back to it so overall when I recommend the phone yes for somebody starting out I would but for somebody that's established with another phone and have to go to the to that phone no I would not recommend it but for somebody needing a phone and just need it to get by and don't need it for a lot of things and all that yeah I wood

Hey there Anthony83,
The Galaxy A17 5G features a vibrant 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), and a 5,000mAh battery for everyday use. We understand that slower performance and issues with answering calls can disrupt your experience. To enhance performance, try navigating to Settings > Device care > Optimize now. From there, you can clear unused memory and restart your phone. Additionally, checking for the latest software updates can help improve both performance and stability. Thank you for sharing your experience with Samsung.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this device because it was hovering in front of me in heaven in 1984. It is perfect for gaming and calling my son and video calling with Jesus' sister. Namaste homeboy.
