A Truly Amazing Bread & Dough Maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Artisan Dough & Bread Maker is a very well designed product that fits nicely in any kitchen, and turns out a terrific loaf of bread.
The footprint is compact, taking up very little counter space. The instruction booklet is well written and quite clear and contains a few recipes that are easy to follow.
The first recipe made was a 2 lb. loaf of French Bread, using the recipe included in the instruction book. The dry ingredients, except for the yeast, were mixed together in a bowl, then dispersed into the bread pan, which already contained the water. Lastly, the yeast was sprinkled on to the flour, and the machine was powered up. Initially the control panel was a little confusing, but I used the instruction book to clarify what buttons and settings to use. The machine defaulted to a medium crust, so I left that setting alone. The loaf baked up fluffy and tasty. Although the crust was a bit pale, the loaf had great texture and flavor. It was easy to slice and made great toast.
For the second loaf made, I chose a recipe from an old breadmaking recipe book. I chose to make rye bread, a 1.5 lb. loaf. Following this recipe, the dry ingredients (minus the yeast) were again mixed in a bowl, added to the bread pan containing the water and oil, and then the yeast was sprinkled on top. The dark crust setting was used and the pictures show the color difference. Again the Artisan Dough & Bread Maker turned out a perfect loaf of bread with a fine texture and terrific taste. I could not have asked for better.
During the kneading process, it was very easy to see into the bread pan through the small window in the top of the machine. I was able to easily adjust the consistency of the mixture by adding a bit of flour or additional water. Clean up was also very easy. A quick wash and the bread pan and it was nicely clean and ready for another use.
Some baked bread residue tends to collect under the kneading paddle, but it was easy to poke out with a toothpick after putting a bit of water in the bottom of the bread pan and letting it soak for a few minutes.
The Artisan Dough & Bread Maker will allow any home chef to make wonderful bread easily. It is a "must have" item for any modern kitchen.

Great size and easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bread machine is great! It’s super easy to use and makes a good size loaf for the two of us to use for a few meals/snacks. Cleanup is easy too - it’s just hand washing the piece that holds the loaf and that’s all. It doesn’t take up that much space on the counter either, so we leave it out. The only critique we had was that it would be a lot easier if the instructions for the machine itself and the recipe booklet were separate so we didn’t have to keep it all together.

It comes with an easy to read instruction book that includes easy to follow recipes. It’s nice quality and compact, so it doesn’t take up a lot of counter space.

Ive never had one but great instructions and pretty easy to make bread. Absolutely beautiful bread maker and has alot of functions but diections explained everything. The bread turned out anazing.

Easy, delicious homemade bread

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am enjoying this bread maker. So far, I’ve made white bread, pizza dough, and the cranberry orange pecan bread from the recipes in the manual. All of the recipes have turned out well.
The variety of options, from basic bread to artisan dough cycles, as well as different loaf sizes and crust colors means an endless variety of options. The control panel is straightforward and easy to read and understand.
The pizza dough was simple to make and baked in the oven nicely. I found that a full recipe made a large pie, so I tried storing half the dough for the next day. I was very pleased with the results.
The basic white bread had a crunchy crust and soft, delicious crumb. It would make for nice sandwiches. The cranberry orange pecan bread was a good test of blending in add-in ingredients, which I added after the beeps. They were evenly dispersed evenly throughout the loaf. That recipe turned out to be very tasty as well.
I appreciate that a liquid measuring cup as well as a teaspoon/tablespoon were included. The hook for removing the paddle is so helpful for both dough and baked loaves. The pan is very easy to clean. I had no problem inserting or removing the pan from the machine. The one time the paddle stayed in the pan when I removed the bread, it came out easily enough after a quick soak in the sink. The machine itself is compact enough that it doesn’t take up too much counter space, and it stays put when kneading the dough.
I liked that the recipes included the weight of the ingredients if one preferred to weigh them. I wish there were more in the book, but there are more on the website that I plan to try.
I really enjoyed how much easier it is for me to make bread now with this bread maker. Being able to make bread in the summer without having to turn on the stove, using the timer to have hot, fresh bread in the morning, and having the machine do the work of blending and kneading the dough means that delicious homemade bread will be much simpler for me from now on.
